For students · How to study this course

Weekly checklist.

Complete these actions in order before each weekly test.

§ 01

Step-by-step actions

  1. Open the learning sheet

Open this week's learning sheet from the Materials page and read it once from start to finish.

Send the learning sheet into an AI chatbox such as DeepSeek, Claude, ChatGPT, QWen, or any chat model. Ask it to walk you through an example, quiz you on definitions, or explain a proof step.

Given the textbook PDF, answer my questions.

Ask follow-up questions until you can explain each definition, example, and proof step without looking.

  2. Solve the validation set

Open the validation set for the same week and solve every question on paper.

Check your answers with the learning sheet, AI, or classmates. Mark every mistake and redo missed questions the next day without help.

When: after your instructor releases the validation answer key later in the week. Where: check the course announcement channel used for weekly material releases; with the default workflow, look for Week N validation set with answers.

  3. Take the weekly test

Attend the weekly test and work closed book: no AI, no notes, no textbook, and no internet.

After the test, review any missed topics in the learning sheet before starting the next week.

§ 02

Frequently asked

How does the validation set differ from the test?

Same structure, same difficulty, different specific questions. Validation is open: you can use AI, talk to friends, and look at the sheet. The test is closed. Use validation to confirm the scope before the weekly test. The answer key to each validation sheet will be released later.

Which AI model should I use?

DeepSeek is free, accepts PDF uploads, and is strong on step-by-step reasoning. If you have access, Claude, ChatGPT, and QWen are strong general-purpose tutors, while Gemini handles the longest chapters.
